The Rato Machhindranath Jatra Festival Tour, offers visitors a deep view into the unique and culturally rich chariot festival that is Nepal. The festival portrays people’s love for their god of rain and harvest, known as Rato Machhindranath.

Held in Lalitpur, the city of fine arts with an impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site called Patan Durbar Square, this festivity commemorates Avalokitesvara Karunamaya who is Vajrayana Buddhist god of mercy. It ranks among the oldest chariot festivals in Kathmandu Valley.
At the end of a month-long ceremony Bhoto Jatra takes place where a studded black Bhoto (vest) is shown from the chariot; this thing might make its genuine owner come forward to prove it.
