Voyager Painting Part 1 - Under-painting

Описание: Welcome to Part One of my Star Trek Voyager painting. This is a long format painting from my livestream. The canvas is 24" by 36" and is based on a previous livestream painting of the Star Trek Voyager opening sequence. This is the first of a multi-part series of this painting, live-streamed over the month of November 2021. It's a departure from my one-session livestream paintings, to bring a more finished piece from start to finish.

In part one, I work on the initial canvas with a graphic drawing in place. The goal is to paint the initial tones in acrylic. The colors for the background are color compliments to the nebula colors that will be painted later in oils.

I used Liquitex acrylic heavy body paints for this session. In future sessions I switch to Gamblin Oils to finish the painting.
