Don Mariano Lacson, the brother of General Aniceto Lacson built this mansion in honor of his late wife, Maria Braga, a Portuguese he met in Hongkong.
Built in 1920s in the middle of Hacienda Sta. Maria, this Italianate style with neo-Romanesque small twin columns that guard both sides of the windows and that rise up to an arch giving the mansion a very elegant character from the outside, we can imagine how luxurious their life at that time.
But, during the Japanese invasion in world war 2, the Filipino guerillas advised Don Mariano to torched down the mansion so it won't be used as a command post, Lacson Agreed.
