PM Modi, speaking at the inauguration of Phase 1 of Navi Mumbai International Airport and other key connectivity projects, said that the long wait for Mumbai's second international airport is finally over. Calling it a reflection of Viksit Bharat, he emphasised that the airport will play a major role in turning the region into one of Asia's largest connectivity hubs. He underlined that Viksit Bharat means speed with progress and public welfare at the heart of development, adding that every rupee spent on infrastructure strengthens citizens' lives and capabilities.
