Demo: how to launch a VM on VSC Tier-1 Cloud

Описание: Vlaams Supercomputer Center (VSC) supplies high-performance computing to academia and industry. Regularly, our users express the need for a more flexible environment with tailor-made software packages, interactive data analysis tools, workflow portals, data visualization, or specific pre-and post-processing packages.

The VSC Tier-1 Cloud component offers just this functionality, by enabling ‘on-demand’ resources in a more flexible and cloud-like manner. It offers Infrastructure as a Service capability for power users that can deploy resources such as virtual machines and storage systems, and adapt these to their use case.

In this demo video, we demonstrate how to launch a virtual machine on the VSC Tier-1 Cloud platform. We use the tool Terraform to deploy a Linux VM and a VM running Windows.
