Processes of digitization and robotization are impacting every industry around us, and the defense industry is no different. To support these processes, a fast and flexible digital network is a cornerstone to development. And 5G delivers just that. LMT has been working in close cooperation with various national defense communities to develop tangible solutions for defense applications, which bolster the development of smart defense solutions in mission-critical industries. With the growing capabilities of mobile technologies, and 5G in particular, it has become clear that the best outcomes for smart defense solutions will be a result of multi-stakeholder efforts. By combing mobile operator R&D and experience, 5G networks, and national defense communities’ on-the-ground input on requirements, it’s possible to achieve improved efficiency, reduced costs, and stimulated resilience.
