Welcome to a video where I’ll show you how to set up your Steam Deck to output 15/25/31kHz directly to a CRT monitor using Batocera and the new HD/CRT Mode Switcher from Batocera-CRT-Script. No hacky HDMI downscalers — just native bare-metal output from your Steam Deck. 🙌🏻

We’ll cover compatible hardware, install the official Batocera Steam Deck Linux distro + CRT Script, and run the HD/CRT Mode Switcher to easily switch between handheld HD mode and CRT mode.

I’ll also show you how to SSH & remote file manage plus how to utilize a VNC server setup. I’ll keep the steps high-level so you can follow along and understand what’s happening behind the scenes. 💪
