It will be a special afternoon in Mumbai as this fixture will spotlight Education and Sports for All (ESA), an initiative led by Mrs. Nita Ambani.

Although Mumbai Indians don't have an impressive head-to-head record against Lucknow Super Giants, the Hardik Pandya-led side has been superb in the last four matches, living up to the expectations of the five-time champions.

Both MI and LSG have 10 points from 9 matches, winning five and losing four. MI have a better run rate than LSG and are placed fifth on the points table, with the Super Giants hovering just below the home team.

It was a high-scoring contest in Lucknow in the previous meet-up between the two this season, with the Rishabh Pant-led side winning the game by 12 runs. It was just another game where Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram went honkers and bonkers before Ayush Badoni and David Miller made notable contributions down the order before Pandya picked up his maiden IPL fifer. Despite the efforts from Suryakumar Yadav and Pandya, MI fell short with Tilak Varma struggling throughout his knock and infamously retiring out.
