Above the Arctic Circle, winter in Tromsø offers more than Northern Lights.
In this video, we visit a reindeer camp run by Sami people, just outside Tromsø, to experience one of the most traditional Arctic activities: reindeer feeding and sledding.
This experience is operated by Tromsø Lapland and takes place in a snowy valley with a herd of over 120 reindeer. You can join by bus from Tromsø or arrive by car.

– Hand-feeding reindeer

– Learning about Sami culture from Sami guides
– Listening to joik, traditional Sami singing

The experience is family-friendly and suitable for children, ours absolutely loved feeding the reindeer and trying the sled ride.
