In a major breakthrough, the Commissionerate Police have arrested two members of an inter-state car theft gang and seized 10 stolen vehicles used in various criminal activities. The operation gained momentum during routine inspections of cow trafficking vehicles, leading investigators to a larger racket operating across Odisha and beyond.

As layer after layer of evidence was uncovered, police found that vehicles stolen from different parts of the state were being repurposed for illegal trade and smuggling. The arrests mark a significant success in cracking down on organized vehicle theft rings.

Authorities have confirmed that further investigations are underway to trace more members of the network and identify the source of vehicle procurement and disposal.
