Litigation looms on Pakistan as Iran claims USD 18b for IP pipeline

Описание: Once again, Pakistan is under the shadow of darkness as its looms under the threat of litigation in International Court. This time it's related to Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Project, in which Iran has claimed USD 18b for the pipeline. However, PM Sharif has taken up matter and intends to use diplomatic channels to avoid a legal battle between two countries. As per Express Tribune sources, Iran claims that it has already spent USD 2 billion to complete its part of the pipeline in its territory. Pakistan, on the other hand, has not even begun working on the construction. Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government decided to shelve LNG Gwadar Pipeline on Saudi Arabia’s pressure.
