Описание: In July 2022, Aquila flowers received Euros 12,500 through the Kenya Roses project (funded by Fairtrade Finland and Aldi Suisse through Fairtrade Africa) to accelerate access to clean energy solutions. Most flower works had been using inefficient cooking technologies which affects their health through poisonous fumes, more money spent on buying charcoal and firewood, and more time wasted looking for these fuels. Aquila Flowers workers made decision to access the revolving Sustainable Clean Energy Fund loan to purchase improved, clean, and efficient biomass cookstoves, hence they have saved their money from using more charcoal fuel, saved their household health (no poisonous fumes) by using energy efficient cookstoves and through the LPG refilling project currently ongoing through the clean energy project.
