ZX14R / ZZR1400 Fuel Filter Replacement
In this video I'll talk about my ZX14R / ZZR1400 Fuel Filter Replacement. An issue that came up on my 2020 European tour as I crossed into Switzerland.
My ZX14R / ZZR1400 started to sputter as I rolled on the throttle, kind of like a feeling of not getting any fuel and low on power. However, staying idle at 4K RPM it ran fine. Only problem is I had to get home to Sicily and 4K RPM was only good for 55 MPH.
Upon getting home and searching the internet I found the issue may be a dirty fuel filter. Not knowing how much the fuel pump was stressed, I opted to purchase a complete fuel pump assembly which I changed on this video: • ZX14R / ZZR1400: Fuel Pump Removal
The bike is running fine now, and since I still have the old assembly, I’ll change out the fuel filter and use it as a spare if I encounter the same problem.
