On July 10, 2025, the Plano and Euless Police Departments held a joint press conference after a suspect in a Plano homicide was shot and killed by officers in Euless.
The incident happened on July 9, 2025, when Plano officers responded to a welfare check and found a woman dead inside a residence. A murder warrant was later issued for a suspect connected to the case.
On July 10, 2025, authorities located the suspect’s vehicle in Euless. When officers attempted to make contact, police say the suspect posed an immediate threat, and gunfire was exchanged. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers or civilians were injured.
The investigation remains ongoing, with both police departments and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force involved. Neither the suspect's name nor the victim's name has been released pending family notification.
