Parrot Bebop 1 on GiFi Power Battery! Good, Bad and The Ugly!

Описание: Recently Picked up another Parrot Bebop 1 with the GiFi Power 2,500mah Camel Back Battery! Testing the Battery let's start with the Good! The Battery with Twice the Power of the OEM battery will actually give you twice the amount of Flight time! I did an indoor test and an outdoor test, Inside gave me 14 minutes of flight time and outdoors fighting strong winds it gave me 13 minutes. Both of these testing were mostly hover tests which will reduce actual flight time so you can actually expect to get a little more time than my results showed!
The Bad: The weight of this Battery makes the Bebop 1 very unstable and I do Mean Very Unstable! Indoors it manageable but still takes a toll on being able to control it properly, Outdoors with any kind of wind you can expect to have a little bit of a fight on your hands as you can probably see in this video! Not only will the wind push the Bebop 1 from side to side but it will push it up and down also! The Bebop line of drones aren't known for their stability to begin with and with adding strong winds and oversized batteries into the mix doesn't help things to say the least! At the end of this flight you can see how unstable it got even when it landed it tilted up on it's side and hit the props and shut the motors off!
The Ugly: While I would say the Bebop line of drones is stylish enough using any camel back battery is going to bring out the ugly in it but there has to be some give and take weighing out the benefits of using a higher current battery!
Would I recommend the GiFi Power Battery: Yes, I would but with Strong Cautions to Fly with Care when doing so! There are many other camel back batteries out there but the majority of them do not deliver so buyer beware!

Why am I doing a review on such an old bird: While I do own more expensive birds I am trying to show those that are interested that they don't have to spend a fortune to check out the hobby! The Bebop 1 can be had for less than a hundred bucks and I would recommend getting a flypad controller to fly it with at $30 bucks or less! I also post deals on here from time to time when I see them!
