This EP was actually inspired by a color that I thought had an interesting name, "Carmine". And also by other similar (in temperature) colors like Amber for Xen Crystals or the color of a pinkish sunrise for CHP RM [25-12].

I went a little bit more experimental on this release, taking inspiration from Aphex Twin on tracks like CHP RM [25-12] and Self Oscillating Filter. For Xen Crystals and Carmine Groove, I took inspiration from Mr. Oizo in general and an EP by Crystal Fake & Morgan Page very originally named "Crystal Fake Vs Morgan Page", who could have guessed that!

The cover art is a photo of a staircase I took on our school trip to New York City, it was inside of some kind of mini-mall that was sitting a couple of meters underground. I'm not sure if it was an access to the subway system but it definitively led downwards. I then proceeded to modify the heck out of it because that's what I like to do.
