Описание: Getting one of your favourite photographers to even consider mentoring you requires work and effort on your side. It’s not something that happens overnight. The smartest way to go about doing this is to build a relationship with them over time. In this way you’re able to show them how serious you are about learning stuff, and actually using it to benefit you on your photography journey.

There’s nothing worse than investing time in someone and then discovering that they’ve lost interest after all the time and effort you’ve put into teaching them valuable lessons.

In this video I’ve mentioned a few ways in which you can encourage your potential photography mentor to actually want to help you.
If this doesn’t work, then just ask them if they’re running a workshop anytime soon. They will definitely notice how keen you are if you pay and attend it.

I’m hoping that this video helps. Yes, it may seem like a mission but you’re actually learning so much while embarking on creating this relationship.
Remember, a mentor is there to guide you… not to do the work for you. The more they actually show interest in your work, is the more you should try upping your game. When you get stuck ask for help. Whatever you do KEEP THE BALL ROLLING.
