April 2nd 2025 was "Liberation Day" when import duties were announced on all countries importing goods to the U.S.A. The ensuing weeks saw broad interest rate spikes, and took five months to settle the debate of whether or not tariffs are inflationary, they are not.
On Friday, the Supreme Court struck down the tariffs bringing the debate back.
