This historic seminar marked Kuk Sa Nim, Grandmaster In Hyuk Suh’s final official event before his retirement, the well-deserved promotion of Sahng Kwahn Jahng Nym Harmon to 10th Dan, and the announcement of Su Suhk Kwahn Jahng Nym Suh as the new WKSA President. With 145 dedicated attendees, the seminar itself was outstanding—filled with powerful instruction, unity, and tradition.
Getting there was no small feat. I had undergone knee surgery just 8 days prior, and we had to push through one of the worst winter storms in recent history to make it. Challenging? Absolutely. Worth it? Without question.
As the saying goes—if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.
This weekend reminded us why we train, why we persevere, and why Kuk Sool is more than just a martial art—it’s a family.
