Inside a rural St. Louis Co. classroom | 1971 | WDIO Revisited

Описание: This bit of 16mm film is from 50 years ago today. Though, other than the date, it's also a bit of a mystery. The film was simply labeled "school" in our archive. So, the location of the school is not known. But we do have some clues. There is a school bus with "St. Louis County Rural Schools" on the side. Another big clue is the sign with two arrows pointing to Virginia that-a-way, and International Falls that-a-way.

Are you able to play detective and help us figure out exactly where this is at? My best guess would be either Chisholm or Buhl.

This is footage from a 16mm film reel. No audio was recorded with this b-roll. Film was expensive, and film stock with audio even more so. If you could get coverage of your story without sound, coverage that would be talked over by the news anchor when it ran on air, you did so.
