This video starts with some everyday van life jobs — a trip to the laundrette, followed by an absolute bargain find at B&Q. We picked up a 5-tier metal racking unit for just £14, which was too good to pass up, so we ended up installing three units in our workshop.

After that, we head off to a brilliant Your Space park-up, costing just £3.39 for 24 hours. No one else in the car park, total peace and quiet, and one of the best night’s sleep we’ve had in a while.

The next day we drop Tracy off at work and round things off with a really lovely homemade spaghetti bolognese 🍝

In the second part of the video, I answer a question from one of our subscribers about our electric drop-down bed. They’ve been told it’s impossible to install one in their van because the walls are made of foam. Our van is very similar — and we installed ours ourselves nearly three years ago.

I give a full demonstration of our drop-down bed, explain how it’s mounted, and show how we made it work safely and reliably. Hopefully this helps anyone who’s been told “it can’t be done.”
