November 18th was six days away.
I owned no property at 1247 Coastal Highway. Except I did. The beach lot my grandmother left me in 2016. The one I'd been quietly developing for eight years. The one with commercial zoning permits worth more than my parents' house.
The one my mother had apparently just sold without my knowledge.
I called the law firm. "This is Sarah Chen. That property isn't for sale. I'm the sole owner."
