I have received an active subwoofer from the Bose brand, I have been curious to test it how it sounds, and I can say that it sounds great. In music it falls a bit short. But when it comes to real cinema with Dolby 5.1, gosh, that sounds amazingly good.
This type of subwoofer is much more powerful than the new generation. They are all the same, that is, this type of subwoofers has the same power, and they are the PS18, 28, 38 and 48 models. THEY ARE THE SAME!
