Описание: Young Kiwi Matt BLOXHAM will turn 16 only at the end of november 2012 . He started "seriously" the hammer throw not even one year ago in the D,Poppé throws training group at the Millenium center Auckland after being a brilliant but quite whimsical member of the North Harbour bays Cougars development group with coaches Sasha PILKINGTON and Steve GRIMMER, throwing the shot and the discus but being also an adept of motorcycle racing and school volley ball. His encounter with the hammer throw was at first a hate/love relationship , but Matt has some similarities with Jacko GILL : when he wants to achieve something , he is ready to do everything to get it , and he is not afraid of any barriers. His progression is already out of norms. With the 5kg hammer 12 nov 2011 : 50,48m - 21 April 2012 : 60,04m - 15 sept 2012 : 71,33m . Nearly 21m in 10 months !!!
Like Jacko GILL and with full support of his family , Matt progressively invades the family country home with fitness implements and has negotiated the permission to build a throwing circle in the neighbor's pasture where he is going to train with a few cows as fan club ! Now that Matt has prematurely achieved his goals to qualify for the World Youth 2013 and become the 1st New Zealander youth to break the 70m line , he will certainly looks for new dreams and new objectives .I am afraid that the neighbor's cows will have to learn about new safe distances for grazing in peace !
