And the year 2012 marks the 110th anniversary when The Thomasites, the US fleet of teachers who boarded a ship via USS Thomas to rehabilitate the Philippines, settled in the country, and ended up with the founding of the then Tayabas High School in 1902, the second oldest high school in the Philippines.
Quezon National High School has maintained a reputation for being the premiere secondary school not only in Lucena City but in the whole province as well, as shown by its long list of alumni who have made names for themselves in the different professions they chose.
