How to Identify, Harvest & Use MULLEIN (Verbascum thapsus) | Medicinal Herb Garden Series

Описание: The other day my friend took me around her garden and showed me this huge "weed" she was about to rip out. I stopped her to say, "No, that's mullein!" Now, I totally get that most people wouldn't care about this potential loss, but months before I had educated her husband on how he could use mullein to relieve his chest congestion and bronchial issues. THIS WEED IS ACTUALLY INCREDIBLY VALUABLE & HELPFUL for many of the ailments we experience during the winter months.

COMMON MULLEIN (Verbascum thapsus) is a wooly biennial herb that produces a basal rosette of thick, soft, hairy, flannel-textured, pale gray-green leaves (6"-15” long) leaves in the first year and an erect, solitary, unbranched, hairy flowering stem rising from the center of the rosette to 7’ tall in the second year. It's incredibly useful for bronchial and respiratory issues, as well as ear aches.
