A High-Speed Corridor to Opportunity
The ₹24,000 crore Shillong–Silchar High-Speed Corridor will significantly strengthen connectivity across Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura, while linking the region to markets in Bangladesh, Myanmar and across Southeast Asia under India’s Act East Policy. Enhanced urban mobility through the flyover will ease daily movement across the city, particularly benefiting students and faculty of the National Institute of Technology Silchar and Assam University by reducing travel time and improving access.
