Excitebike World Rally S-Rank Playthrough - Bronze Cup

Описание: This is part 1 of my capture of me playing through Excitebike World Rally for WiiWare. This footage was recorded directly from my Wii (not the Wii U). I'm obtaining S ranks on each course and cup in the game.

Back in the early '90s I used to play various racing games at my uncle's house such as Excitebike for the NES. I wasn't very good at Excitebike, but I loved the track editor and would spend most of my time fooling around with that feature.

Several years later I picked up Excitebike 64 and Excite Truck, both of which were excellent games. However, I skipped Excite Bots because the game was loaded with too much crap that got in the way of racing, such as swinging on poles. But even so, by the Wii era the Excite series had cemented itself as an excellent racing series in my eyes.

In late 2009 Nintendo then announced a new Excitebike game for WiiWare called Excitebike World Rally. The game was based heavily upon NES Excitebike, except it used 3D graphics and added some newer features from the more recent games (such as landing boosts). Best of all, the game included an online multiplayer mode so I could race against other people.

I downloaded Excitebike World Rally the day it was released and proceeded to play it a ton. The online racing was a lot of fun, and the unlockable color schemes gave me some incentive to keep playing. I eventually unlocked all of the color schemes in the game, including the ones that had to be obtained through friend lobbies. The game was also a nice holdover to keep me busy until New Super Mario Bros. Wii was released about a week later.

Although I typically play 2D-style games with a D-pad, I was surprised to find that this game controlled better for me using the tilt controls. It just made it easier to keep the bike tilted at a specific angle for landings, plus it was a lot of fun.

In this video I completed all of the Bronze Cup courses in the World Tour mode while obtaining S ranks on each.
