This City Health Talk explores health equity – a concept that is widely discussed, but not always fully unpacked or put into practice. At its core, health equity means everyone should have a fair chance to live a healthy life. Yet, around the world, those chances are not equally shared. From income and education to gender and postcode, barriers can impact opportunities for good health from the very start. This is not about individual choices. It’s about the systems, environments and policies that shape daily life and determine whether healthy options are truly accessible.
A this webinar we move beyond the buzzword and look at health equity in action. What does it look like in practice? How can we turn equity into lasting change? To help us explore these questions, we’ll take a holistic approach with three speakers who bring perspectives from the global, organisational and community levels. You will also see how equity principles come to life through examples in Turku, Finland and São Paulo, Brazil.
