Making Oatmeal, Milk & Honey swirled soap using Goats' milk and colouring naturally with Annatto

Описание: Today we are creating the second of our January release soaps. This design will be available to purchase in limited numbers through our website from January 1st 2021.

Today's soap is "Oatmeal, Milk & Honey" soap. It is scented using a safe, synthetic fragrance oil (without parabens or phthalates) and it smells gorgeous. We are creating the soap using Goat's Milk in place of part of our water weight and we are also adding in some honey and topping the bar with Oats to tie the scent and ingredients all together.

We will be creating a very simple in the pot swirl to add a little detailing to this soap. We shall be using Annatto to naturally colour a portion of the soap yellow and then using this yellow portion to add a subtle swirl to the finished bars.

We are using the 5lb loaf mold from Bramble Berry to create this design and this is the recipe that we used to fill our mold:

218g Sodium Hhydroxide
240g Water
240g Goats' Milk (Frozen)
680g Olive Oil
198g Sweet Almond Oil
114g Castor Oil
368g Coconut Oil
150g Shea Butter
76g Cocoa Butter
0.5g Annatto
12g Honey
5g Oats
40g Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Fragrance Oil
