At around 2:30 PM, Thursday afternoon, Helene was upgraded to a category 3 hurricane. At the time of this recording, Helene was approximately 185 miles to the west northwest of North Naples. We’re expecting more heavy bands of rain later this afternoon and into the evening. The storm is still forecasted to make landfall sometime throughout the night in the Big Band area of northern Florida. Recorded LIVE on Facebook, Thursday, September 26, 2024.
