Kakabeka falls is 25 mins from Thunder Bay Ontario, a completely underrated gem with multiple great outdoor adventures nearby. It's also less than an hour from the US border and the MN North shore. As a provincial park it costs $6.50CD per car and the overlook is a short walk from the parking lot. While you are there though, the canyon is beautiful and I would recommend doing the 2.3mi loop that covers other views and a smaller waterfall.
