Saturday, January 10th 2026 may turn out to be the day that, after decades taking the soup, taking the hind tit, taking it up the Günter, the farmers of Ireland finally found the keys of their tractors and headed for Athlone, at the very centre of the dying Republic of Ireland, to say ní hea. The turnout to protest against the Mercosur trade deal was perhaps the greatest show of strength and resolve seen in the public space of Ireland for many years — 27,000 Irishmen and women (close to zero multiculturalism; just the security staff) and 3,845 tractors, came out to tell the Irish government and its Brussels string-pullers — in the style of Howard Beale in the movie Network : ‘We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore!’

“This new channel will feature conversations (not ‘chats’ but what I insist on calling ‘chat-nots!’ — everything but chitchat!), interviews, reports, documentaries, debates and much more. The idea and aim is to restore elements once associated with broadcast media which have gone awol in the recent years of purchased, setaside media and the resulting constructed pseudo-reality — bought, paid for and blatant in its lying, smearing and intimidation of those who dare to dissent against the prevailing and escalating global tyranny.
