It’s been 6 years since the passing of Jim Machacek; and even longer since the operation of his railroad, the Northfield & Cannon Valley Railroad. His favorite locomotive, 504, had not been under steam for nearly 11 years.
However, after 2 years of being restored, 504 is now in working condition and is ready to see service again. On June 18, 2018, 504 made her public debut and was officially welcomed as a locomotive of the Frisco Silver Dollar Line. Here’s to many years of running the rails at Silver Dollar City.
