Journey to Dolpo – EP 3 || What took us to DOLPO ? 🤔🤔

In this episode, we travel deep into the Himalayas not just for adventure, but with a mission: to serve the people through a Sowa Rigpa (Tibetan Medicine) Free Medical Camp. 🏥✨
Organized with love during our short vacation, this initiative brought basic health care to some of the most isolated villages.

Sowa RIgpa Medical Camp Activities:

Day 1 – Chharka Village:
On community request, we organized a medical camp from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, attending to 15 patients. We departed for Tinje at 2:00 PM, kindly dropped off by Pema Dhargyal and Phurpa, reaching around 5:00 PM.
We were warmly welcomed by Ven. Tsering Dhargyal, Khenrap, and the team at Gangtega Homestay.

Day 2 – Tinje Village:
Due to time constraints, we began the camp early morning. Though originally planned until 5:00 PM, we extended it until 8:00 PM due to the high patient turnout. A total of 41 patients were treated.

Day 3 – Shingmen Village:
Travelled 2 hours by bike to reach Shingmen. The camp ran from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, treating 46 patients. We returned to Tinje around 8:00 PM.

Day 4 – Polde Village:
A short 15-minute ride took us to Polde, where we conducted the camp from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, serving 45 patients.

Day 5 – Phal Village:
Traveled to Phal and began the medical camp at 10:00 AM, which continued until 3:00 PM, treating 38 patients.

Tinje (Gangtega Homestay)
Although we had planned to take a break from the 22nd, patients continued arriving daily at the homestay. We attended to every visitor, offering support and treatment until our final day!

From long dusty trails to warm local smiles, this is more than just a trip — it’s a story of healing, purpose, and connection.
