The Noatak River is situated in Northern Alaska entirely above the Arctic Circle (Latitude:62 degrees)
We hired a bush float plane from Bettles to haul us in an exciting flight through the Brooks Range. The weather was cool and sometimes rainy but beautiful when the sun came out. While we didn't see a lot of wildlife on our trip we did find many bear and wolf tracks as well as moose and caribou.
If you go be advised that summer in Alaska is mosquito time and bring repellent and head nets.
