October marks Texas Archaeology Month, a celebration of the state’s history and heritage through the lens of archaeology. The Alamo plays a pivotal role, as an active archaeological site where history is still being uncovered.
For example, archaeology helps shape our understanding of how the Alamo Church and Long Barrack were built and the people who lived and worked here over hundreds of years.
