Harsh Winter Vanlife – Keeping the Motorhome Alive in Snow & Ice

In this video I head back to the motorhome compound in snow and icy
conditions to check on the Swift Bolero 680FB during winter storage.

I unlock the security gates, inspect the exterior bodywork, explain why
the under slung fresh and waste tanks need draining, and show the
internal winter layout with cupboards open and cushions moved for
airflow.

I check the solar output, start the engine at 12.2v, run it for over an
hour, and monitor the Sargent control panel to confirm both leisure and
vehicle batteries are charging correctly.

I also demonstrate my Halfords 10w solar setup in the windscreen,
including safe crocodile clip connection points under the bonnet,
cleaning rusty contacts, and protecting the vehicle battery properly.

Full time motorhome does not always mean living in it 12 months
continuously. Insurance, family time and travel plans sometimes mean
parking up and maintaining it correctly.
