Today I’ll be drawing a Red Poppy flower. This is an easy-to-follow painting for beginners. Poppy flowers are usually bright red, but I’ll use a pale pink instead to contrast it with the inner seeds. I’ll paint the petals with a very diluted pink, and use a dark, almost black color for the center. I can use the contrast of the concentration to make the painting clear. This is a great painting to start with if you’re a beginner.
