Watch as we show how we installed an Electric Power Steering Kit (EPAS Kit-1) into one of our customer's Nissan Skyline R32.
This vehicle was being built to be used as a Drift Car in Australia it had a Holden Gen III V8 Engine fitted as well as one of our Power to Manual Steering Rack Conversions.
Our customer came to Ultimate Power Steering to fit an EPAS Kit as they did not want the issues attached with hydraulic Power Steering.
The video shows how we modified the original steering column and how we installed and tested the unit.
Once fitted our Electric Power Steering Unit (EPAS Kit-1) reduced the steering effort from 37.5Nm of torque (With no 12v power to the unit i.e. Unit OFF) to 5.5Nm of torque (With the unit powered up 12v and on maximum assist i.e. full power)
