Описание: We drove up to Zieleniec Ski Arena expecting dramatic winter conditions, but instead found mostly artificial snow and pretty mild temperatures. No freezing eyelashes, no extreme mountain storm. Just manufactured white slopes and slightly confused first-time energy.

From a distance, it looked manageable. Smooth runs, relaxed atmosphere, people gliding down casually. Then I put skis on for the first time in my life.

Within minutes, I realized I absolutely do not know how to ski. I fell constantly. Sideways. Backwards. While standing still. I lost count somewhere around fifty falls. It wasn’t icy, it wasn’t brutal weather, it was just pure lack of skill. Every time I tried to stop, I sped up. Every time I tried to turn, I collapsed. It was humbling in the most public way possible.

In between falls, I broke down the actual cost of skiing for the day, lift pass, equipment rental, food, and whether it’s financially responsible to pay for a sport where you spend half the time on the ground. It turned into a mini ski-budget analysis mixed with slapstick survival.

After enough artificial snow trauma, we crossed into Czechia to recover properly with a hot bowl of borscht. From fake winter chaos to warm comfort food across the border, the day somehow still felt like an adventure.
