"Vodalities: Paradigms of Consciousness for the Human Voice" by Shodekeh Talifero was co-commissioned by University of Michigan Percussion through the So Percussion New Work Development Program.
The piece was composed by Shodekeh composing each movement as recorded breath art/beatbox compositions that were then transcribed and arranged for instruments by the members of this ensemble. This performance is the result of a multi-day residency at U-M where Shodekeh and the ensemble worked together to make this performance of percussion quartet plus breath artist/beatboxer.
