A simulation of the three-body problem / n-body problem with two fixed masses and twelve allowed to move freely. The twelve free masses move under the gravity of the two fixed masses, but the twelve free masses do not interact with each other. The twelve free masses start with the same velocities, and their initial positions are separated by only 1/3 of a pixel vertically. All twelve masses fall into stable orbits, but the orbits are quite different, revealing the chaotic nature of multiple gravitationally-interacting masses.
