Touki was rescued when he was in very poor condition, kept in a dark cage and suffering from painful skin issues that left him constantly itchy and uncomfortable. His owner slowly nursed him back to health with proper care, diet, and time. Today, he is a completely different bird who free roams the house, flies nonstop zoomies, follows everyone around, and steals anything within reach. When he gets scratches, he makes a soft purring sound like a cat and freezes as his head gets heavy and he leans forward. Caring for a toucan takes real commitment and daily effort, but seeing Touki healthy, full of energy, and living like the house is his jungle makes it all worth it.
