To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic movie “Bullitt” and its fan-favorite car chase, Ford is returning to the streets of San Francisco to showcase its cool and powerful new 2019 Mustang Bullitt.
The new Mustang Bullitt will share the spotlight with the original 1968 Mustang GT fastback, which was driven by Steve McQueen. Once believed lost forever, the original Mustang will return to where its legendary chase scenes were filmed – this time joined by the new Mustang.
As effortlessly cool as the original, the new Mustang Bullitt gets an upgraded performance-tuned 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 480 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque*, pushing it to a top speed of 163 mph – an 8 mph increase versus the latest Mustang GT. The first limited-edition models rolled off the line June 29.
