Описание: As organizations increasingly migrate to the cloud and adopt remote work, the traditional security perimeter, once focused on network boundaries, has become obsolete. Today, access is not limited to human users; machines, devices, and agentic AI must also be verified. As a result, the security landscape has shifted from the "castle and moat" approach to a dynamic, identity-centric model. Zero Trust has emerged as the guiding principle, asserting that trust is never assumed, and no one, nor anything, should be trusted by default. Every access request, regardless of origin, must be verified. Identity has become the new perimeter, requiring continuous validation and a more granular approach to access management. For developers, understanding how Zero Trust and identity-based security are reshaping application design is essential.

This session will cover the practical concepts needed to implement Zero Trust and identity-driven security, enabling secure and scalable architectures in today’s complex digital world.


About Barsha Karki:

Barsha has close to 15 years of experience in the IT Industry with skills and expertise across Cyber Security, Data Management, Data Connectivity and Telecommunications Networks. In her current role, she leads a team of pre-sales engineers at CyberARk. Barsha also is an advocate for STEM careers and plays an active role in mentoring and encouraging female participation in the field of Engineering and IT. Barsha has been a part of Women in Engineering and IT (WiEIT) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) where she graduated with a Master of Engineering Studies and a Master of Engineering Management.

She has participated in school outreach programs to speak with and encourage high school female students to consider taking on STEM as part of their curriculum. Since 2015, she’s mentored a female university student each year as part of Lucy Mentoring program. Since early 2024, Barsha has been co-hosting a conversation series on LinkedIn called the “MahaBarsha Show’ along with Maha Pula, VP of Solutions Consulting at Fastly. This series was created with a focus to provide exposure and tools that will help those considering roles in the field of IT, technology and security, or thinking of changing to careers in these fields.
