Opening KABAO Officially Licensed Journey To The West 1986 Collector Cards
Finally, cards based on my favorite OG Journey to the West TV series from 86'. So excited opening these cards and a big hit of nostalgia. According to "research" on the internet. I believe this set was previously released at least a year ago in China, based on some Bilibili videos, but it seems to be resurfacing for purchase due to the 40th anniversary of the CCTV 1986 Journey to the West this year. I absolutely love the show and would purchase more; however, the price point is quite expensive, with hit rates being nonexistent. (Most Chinese trading cards have the rates listed.)
Some basic info:
There are 6 packs with 2 cards each + 1 slab with a die cut metal alloy character card. There are no hit rates listed on the box or packs, but I'm assuming they're probably abysmal, given there are only 12 cards in total. The chase cards (highest rarity 5-6 stars) of the set include autographed cards, badge cards, coin cards, relic cards, film cards, and full alloy cards. Anything else is 4-star and lower rarity.
