On 7-29-2020, the Chelan County Sheriff's Office requested the assistance of the King County Sheriff's Office Air Support Unit in hoisting out an injured hiker on the north side of Lichtenberg Mountain. The hiker had reportedly fallen at least 40 feet and was injured. The King County Sheriff's Office responded utilizing our 1970 Bell UH-1(Huey), Callsign Guardian 2. The victim was located with the assistance of the Chelan County Sheriff's Office observer helicopter. Guardian 2 hoisted out one of our trained deputies and one of our paramedics from King County Medic 1. The victim was packaged in a litter and successfully hoisted into the helicopter.
