A look at Stalybridge Market Hall clock on Sunday 2nd August 2015.
The clock, along with the Market Hall, was built in 1868 and is fondly thought of by local people - so much so that a protest was arranged on 7th June 2013 after the clock had stopped working several months prior. The clock had even been featured on the local news! The hall is now a civic hall which is used for wedding's and other functions as well as council administrative offices.
The clock contains a single bell which strikes on the hours. In this video I was not quick enough switching my camera on hence you only hear 8 strikes and not 9!
