I'm in coach for this 18-hour journey that covers almost 800 miles between Chicago and Washington, D.C.
In this video, which is available in 4K, you'll see some of the best views from both sides of the train and appreciate the beauty of the fall season. This train is soon to be a part of history, as the Superliners will give way to single-level equipment for the Chicago to Miami Floridian.
We start in Chicago and travel through Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania by night before enjoying a terrific sunrise in the Allegheny Mountains.
